	Elephant	Details
	The center area features an original pen and ink drawing of a head study of an African Elephant. The four masks are interpretations of designs from West Africa. Masks represent the faces of higher beings – spirits, gods, and ancestors. An African textile pattern is located between the masks. The border herd of elephants and spears at the top and bottom represent the struggle for survival due to illegal poaching.

	Orca Spear	Details
	The sandblasted area on the turquoise part of the spear contains imagery from a totem pole which tells the story of a Killer Whale who captures and takes a man's wife to sea. The white area is carved and texturized to represent whale bone with Adz marks. Adz marks are unique to each Native American carver as one can tell who carved a totem pole by simply studying the Adz marks.

	Raven Spirit Vessel	Details
	This vessel was inspired by a carving the artist saw that was made on Easter Island. Although that carving depicted a bird form, it was not of a Raven. Most likely, it was a sooty tern, which has historical meaning on Rapa Nui (Easter Island) Ravens are very special to the artist so she often depicts a raven when placing the likeness of a bird in her work.
